Gardaí pinpoint time and days that see most reports of stolen cars in Limerick

GARDAÍ analysts have revealed the busiest times and days that cars are stolen in Limerick. 

The information revealed that Friday, Saturday and Sunday see the most reports of stolen cars. 

The busiest times of the day were from 7pm through to 6am, with a peak between 8pm and 9pm.

Sergeant Ber Leetch, crime prevention officer at Henry Street garda station said: "There was an increase in reporting of thefts from cars and theft of cars recently to gardaí in Limerick.

"Gardaí understand that criminals are opportunists so if they see a chance to steal from us they will take it at any time."
