Witnesses to brazen Limerick theft incident urged to come forward
GARDAI at Roxboro Road are appealing for information following a brazen theft incident close to Limerick city centre.
The theft happened at Lord Edward Street sometime between 4pm and 5pm on Tuesday, November 28.
"A woman, in her early forties, was walking alone when, suddenly, a car pulled up just as she was walking by Sarsfield Park," said divisional crime prevention officer Sergeant Ber Leetch.
"Two males got out (of the car) and pulled her cream sleeveless jacket off her. They jumped back into their car and drove off," she added.
While the victim was shocked following her ordeal, she told gardai that she could remember seeing two witnesses across the road from where the incident took place.
Investigating gardai are appealing to these two witnesses, or any witnesses, to come forward and to contact them at (061) 214340.
