Teenage girl and mother attacked and robbed in Limerick

GARDAI are appealing for witnesses after a 17 year-old girl and her mother were attacked and robbed in Limerick city.

The incident happened at 10:05pm on Friday, November 17 when the teen and her mother were walking along Roches Street in the city centre.

Suddenly two females grabbed the young girls’ handbag and attempted to run off with it.

The girl instinctively held onto it until one of the females punched her into her face with such force that she fell to the ground.

Her mother attempted to stop these females but she too was punched. The females made off with a purse from the bag.

Gardai in Henry Street are asking any witnesses to this robbery to contact them on 061 212400.
