A LUNCHTIME photography exhibition is to mark 50 years of one of Limerick's finest institutions.

Limerick Youth Service (LYS) is celebrating its golden anniversary and will host a lunchtime photographic exhibition at the Gardens International, Henry Street each day, from 12.30-2.30pm, until this Thursday November 16.

The exhibition is a part of LYS’ 50th anniversary celebrations and will feature a selection of historical photos of the youth organisation’s storied history throughout the years.

Images of youth clubs in the 1970s and talent shows in the 1980s to international trips and the visits of many famous faces that have visited LYS will be on display.

Although it is a lunchtime exhibition, private tours at different hours will be available with interested parties asked to contact the Youth Information Centre.

“Now in its 50th year, LYS remains committed to connecting with young people and supporting them to reach their full potential”, a spokesperson said.
