Limerick firefighters at scene of house blaze

Limerick Fire and Rescue Service at the scene in Garryowen

LIMERICK Fire and Rescue Service responded to a house blaze in the city this Sunday afternoon.

The Munster Regional Communications Centre received the call at 4.51pm and three appliances rushed to the scene at Sarsfield Avenue, Garryowen. 

No injuries have been reported. 

A gardai spokesperson said: "Gardaí are investigating an incident of criminal damage by fire at a house in Garryowen, Limerick this afternoon, Sunday, November 12. Investigations are ongoing at this time."

It is reported that the property has been extensively damaged.
