BUS ÉIREANN has celebrated its employees’ achievements at the regional annual Go the Extra Mile (GEM) Awards with Limerick well represented at the ceremony.
The awards recognise excellent customer service, community impact, performance and forward-thinking.
Awards were issued in a number of different categories including Apprentice of the Year, Depot of the Year, Foreman of the Year and several other categories including driver and community awards.
Limerick's Gerard Murphy was recognised with the prestigious Supervisor of the Year award which is a testament to his professionalism.
Bus Éireann’s Limerick team celebrated five awards in total for the Western Region.
Michael Kelly won School Bus Driver of the Year, John Kirby won Engineering Operative of the Year, Stephanie Ryan won the Wellbeing award and David Cunneen won the Community Award.
Bus Éireann looks forward to the opening of the newly-refurbished Limerick Bus Station and the launch of their electrified city services in 2024. Winners go on to the National GEM awards on December 8 in Dublin.
