A LOTTO player in Limerick had a Saturday night to remember after matching five numbers and the bonus in the main draw to win €334,197.
The winning numbers in Saturday night’s Lotto draw were: 08, 24, 29, 37, 41, 42 and the bonus was 22. The winning Quick Pick ticket was bought on the day of the draw at Centra in Northtown Shopping Centre on the Ennis Road.
Shop owner Ger Rodahan was thrilled to hear that one of his customers was waking up to good news this Sunday morning.
“What a call to get from the National Lottery! There will be great excitement both in the shop and around the town as soon as word gets out that we sold a ticket worth more than €330,000.
"Most of our customers are locals so it’s wonderful news for the community. For all we know, the winner might not even realise that they have won yet so hopefully they check their ticket soon," said Mr Rodahan.
"This is the biggest prize that we have ever sold so here’s hoping this continues and we might have even more big wins soon,” he added.
The Limerick winner is advised to sign the back of their ticket and keep it safe. They should contact the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for the winner to collect their prize in Lotto HQ.
Last night’s Lotto draw saw over 79,000 players win prizes across the Lotto and Lotto Plus games. As there was no outright winner of the €4,170,027 jackpot on offer, Wednesday’s jackpot is set to roll towards an estimated €4.5 million.
Meanwhile, Monday night could prove to be truly life-changing for a National Lottery player in Ireland as the first ever EuroDreams draw is set to take place at 8pm.
Tickets went on sale last Monday for the first annuity game of its kind ever to be seen in Ireland. Unlike other lottery draw-based games, the annuity top prize, which is worth €7.2 million, will be paid in monthly tax-free payments of €20,000 spread over 30 years.
