Council in talks over flood-hit road in Limerick city

COUNCIL bosses have entered talks with their Irish Rail counterparts about solving issues around a flood-hit road in Limerick city.
The road underneath the crossing at the rail bridge near Kilmallock roundabout is often impassable in bad weather due to flooding.
Engineer Mike Richardson confirmed the talks in a bid to find a solution to the issue, to Fianna Fail councillor Catherine Slattery at this month’s metropolitan meeting.
“Drainage improvement costs are currently being compiled and a funding source will be examined in due course,” said Mr Richardson in response.
