In Pictures: New support group starts for up-and-coming entrepreneurs in Limerick

THE first meeting of a new support group for up-and-coming entrepreneurs has taken place in Limerick.

The Oahu cafe at Thomas Street in the city centre was the venue for the inaugural Hatch Ireland gathering.

A non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting young adult entrepreneurs and professionals, Hatch will provide a network which helps drive the professional and personal growth of its members.

Meeting on a monthly basis in the former O'Connor’s cafe at 9, Thomas Street, the group will hold networking events, fireside chats, facilitate guest speakers and also provide mentorship programmes and workshops.

Gareth Morrissey who is the co-founder and chair of the group said: “Our vision for Hatch Ireland is to create a vibrant community where young adult entrepreneurs and professionals can thrive. We believe that collaboration, support, and shared experiences are key to driving innovation and making a lasting impact.”

Gareth is joined in heading up the group alongside Jessica Lyddy, the proprietor of Oahu and Alanna Ryan.

The first meeting saw presentations from high-profile designer Aoife McNamara and Ciaran Gaffney, who has turned a storytelling night into a profitable business.

There was then a fireside chat plus a question-and-answer session.  For more information, visit www.hatchireland.com
