In Pictures: Limerick people gather to support Little Blue Heroes

LIMERICK people gathered together at the weekend to take part in a special fundraiser for the Little Blue Heroes.

The Limerick Goes Blue event saw gardai, members of the sporting community as well as family and friends walk the iconic Three Bridges Walk in Limerick city.

The Three Bridges loop is 3.6km in length and started and finished at the rear gates of Henry Street Garda Station. To reach the 3.6km goal, a total of 1,389 loops had to be completed.

The event ran alongside a family fun day at the rear of Henry Street Garda Station.

All proceeds raised will go to Little Blue Heroes, a foundation operated on a voluntary basis by Garda Staff, which aims to provide financial help to families in need in Ireland, who have children undergoing long-term medical treatment for serious illness.
