Child bitten by dog in Limerick sparks investigation

A YOUNG boy, who was bitten by a dog in Limerick, has sparked a garda investigation.

Gardaí have confirmed that investigations are ongoing concerning a child who was bitten by a dog at a property in Garryspillane, Limerick on Tuesday, September 26.

The extent of the boy's injuries have not yet been disclosed, nor has his age, the canine’s breed or the relationship between the boy and the dog.

This follows the hospitalisation of a man and woman in Dublin who were attacked by a dog in a separate incident. The man reportedly has ‘serious facial injuries’ as a result of the attack.
