GARDAI in Limerick delivered a van back to its owner just hours after it had been stolen in Tipperary.
Limerick Live understands it is a delivery van but it is not known if it contained packages and parcels at the time.
A garda spokesperson said they are investigating an unauthorised taking of a vehicle that occurred in Main Street, Tipperary Town on Monday at around 11.30am.
"The vehicle was later recovered on Hyde Road, Limerick at approximately 6pm.
"No arrests have been made. Investigations are ongoing," said a garda spokesperson.
Separately, around the same time on Monday evening and also on the Hyde Road, a man was arrested. Gardai from the Regional Response Unit, plain clothes detectives and uniformed officers were all involved.
It is understood he had run from a house that was being searched at the time by gardai. There was a short foot chase before he was arrested.
