Councillors call for eircodes to be displayed in public places in Limerick

COUNCIL bosses are to investigate putting signage at Limerick parks, playgrounds and other public amenities which advise what the Eircode for that location is.

Fine Gael councillor Sarah Kiely had a motion passed which called for the measure which she believes would be a useful point of reference if, for example, the emergency services needed to be contacted.

Senior engineer Aidan Finn said the council will weigh this up.
