Limerick well to sell for a euro

The well in question which council are selling for a euro

A FORMER well in the village of Patrickswell is to transfer from the council’s ownership to a private individual.

The land which around the well, which measures around 193 metres squared was previously used as access to a public water supply.

But this has not been the case for a number of years with the pump no longer connected to the public supply, and the electricity supply also disconnected.

At November’s full council meeting, it's expected members will transfer the ownership of the well back to the owner of the rest of the land.

They will pay the local authority a nominal sum of €1 for this.
