THE FINE Gael Parliamentary Party think-in gets underway in Limerick this Friday ahead of the return of the Dáil next week.
Party leader and Taoiseach Leo Varadkar and a number of senior government ministers will be among those attending the event which continues at the Limerick Strand Hotel until Saturday afternoon.
While there will be a number of formal panel discussions and debates over the two days, the think-in also allows party members to network and meet informally for the first time since the summer recess.
Ahead of the think-in, Mr Varadkar attended a number of events in west Limerick on Thursday including the official opening of the redeveloped and expanded Foynes Flying Boat and Maritime Museum and the Limerick Regional Athletics Hub in Newcastle West.
The Irish Farmers Association will stage a protest outside the Fine think-in to highlight their opposition to the proposed changes to the nitrates derogation from January 1, 2024.
A similar protest took place earlier this week at the Fianna Fail Parliamentary Party think-in which took place in County Tipperary.
