Limerick Youth Service celebrates 50 years of profound impact

THE LIMERICK Youth Service (LYS) is gearing up to celebrate its Golden Jubilee with a birthday party and reunion.

The organisation, which has been a pillar of support for the youth of Limerick, is inviting past participants, volunteers, and staff to join in the festivities on Friday, September 22nd at the Strand Hotel.

With five decades of dedicated service under its belt, LYS has played a vital role in the lives of countless young people, providing them with opportunities for growth, education, and personal development.

Founded in 1973 by Sr. Joan Bowles, the organisation has had a profound impact on the Limerick community, with over 1.2 million young people benefiting from its youth clubs, summer camps, education, and training courses.

With MC Lorcan Murray from RTÉ Lyric FM leading the entertainment, the evening is expected to be a walk down memory lane.

Tickets for this event are priced at €50 and can be bought via Eventbrite. Information can be found via email at yib@limerickyouthservice.com.
