GARDAI in Limerick are investigating after firewood was stolen from outside a home.
The incident happened in Askeaton early on Friday, September 8.
The thief spotted some chopped firewood in a field and decided to help themselves.
The owner of the land and firewood later discovered the theft.
Gardai said landowners who are chopping firewood should secure it in a locked shed.
