OVER 300 brave souls escaped the blistering heart and braced the cold waters of the River Shannon for the Island Swim Challenge 2023 on Saturday.
The swim is always different from year to year but participants will always pass some of the most historical sites of the city.
The 3.8km swim is a popular event with all ages and there were plenty of supporters on the day cheering on the swimmers.
