Thousands of Limerick students set to receive Leaving Cert results

Limerick students get ready to collect Leaving Cert results

Nearly 3,000 Limerick students are set to receive their Leaving Cert results this Friday

ALMOST 3,000 students across Limerick are due to receive their Leaving Certificate exams this Friday.

It's been a long summer for students who sat their exams in June - the first time they took place in the traditional way since 2019 due to Covid-19.

A total of 2,577 students sat the Leaving Cert in Limerick in June while a further 202 sat the Leaving Cert Applied.

The State Examinations Commission says the results will be issued online - via the Candidate Self Service Portal - at 10am and that those who sat exams will be able to review and download their results.

Students will need their examination number, password, and PPS number in order to log into the portal.

While many secondary schools in Limerick will be open this Friday, only a small number of students are expected to attend to their former schools having received their results.

Those who are unhappy with one or more result are being reminded they can apply to view their scripts for free while there is a fee to have subjects re-checked.

Whatever their results, students are being encouraged to celebrate in moderation and to ensure they remain safe throughout the celebrations.

For those who need support, the National Leaving Certificate Helpline, 1800 265165, opens from Friday 10am.
