A WOMAN has been arrested in relation to a road traffic collision in Limerick which left two women in their 60s with serious injuries.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a two-vehicle traffic collision on the N21 in Adare, Co Limerick, on Friday, August 18.
The collision occurred at approximately 3:45pm on Friday afternoon and involved a car and a lorry.
Two female occupants, aged in their 60s, of the car were taken to hospital to be treated for serious injuries.
The two other female occupants, aged in their 60s and 40s, of the car were also treated for injuries believed to be non-life threatening.
Gardaí have arrested a woman aged in her 40s in relation to this collision.
She is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Garda Station in the Limerick Region.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them and enquiries are ongoing.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the N21 or in Adare yesterday afternoon between 3:30pm and 4:15pm, is asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
