Car overturned outside school after collision

Car overturned after collision in Limerick border town

A COLLISION outside a school saw a car overturned and a male in his 30’s treated for injuries at the scene.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a two-vehicle road traffic collision that occurred at approximately 8am in Shannon on Friday, August 11. 

The collision occurred near St Caimin’s community school on Bóthar na Luachra. The driver of one of the vehicles, a male in his 30s, received treatment at the scene for minor injuries. 

There were no other injuries reported.

Two fire service units from Shannon and one from Ennis attended the scene for around two hours, and departed at around 10:10am. 

Investigations are ongoing.
