Limerick public urged to give blood, as this time of year is dubbed 'challenging'

BOTH NEW and frequent donors are urged to give blood this August, with two Limerick locations hosting four nights of clinics.

On Sunday August 13 and Monday August 14, the Castletroy Park Hotel will host a daytime and evening clinic on both days, respectively.

The Sunday clinic will run from 11:50am to 3:10pm, while the Monday clinic will run from 4:20pm to 7:40pm.

In addition, Limerick Racecourse in Patrickswell will host two days of evening clinics on Monday August 15 and Tuesday August 16. Both will run from 4:20pm to 7:40pm

Referencing this time of year as being ‘challenging’, a spokesperson said “Both regular and new donors are urged to attend, as this time of year poses challenges for clinic attendance numbers, due the holiday season.”
