PLANNING is underway for a big-screen event for Limerick’s All-Ireland Hurling Final against Kilkenny.
Limerick City and County Council (LCCC) confirmed they are looking into holding a big-screen event in Limerick following the treaty men’s victory over Galway in the Hurling All-Ireland Senior Championship Semi-Final on Saturday.
Last year, thousands attended a big-screen event in the TUS Gaelic Grounds where Limerick played and trumped Kilkenny to win their third All-Ireland in-a-row.
A big screen event was also hosted at the TUS Gaelic Grounds for Limerick’s first All-Ireland victory in 45 years in 2018. No big-screen events were hosted for the 2020 or 2021 finals due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Limerick face Kilkenny in the Hurling All-Ireland Senior Championship Final at Croke Park in just under two weeks' time on Sunday, July 23.
Throw-in is at 3.30pm.
