A MAJOR reshuffle of senior garda management in the Limerick division has been announced this Monday.

Newly appointed Chief Superintendent Aileen Magner will leave Henry Street garda station, where she was the superintendent, for the Dublin Metropolitan Region. Chief Supt Magner also served for many years as the superintendent of the former Newcastle West district.

Following Chief Supt Magner's promotion, Supt Andrew Lacey will transfer from Roxboro garda station to Henry Street - the official title is Limerick City North Community Engagement Functional Area.

Supt Lacey will be replaced in Roxboro by Supt Paul Reidy. Supt Reidy will move from Bruff, where he was effectively the superintendent of County Limerick, to the city.

And finally Supt Ollie Kennedy will take up Supt Reidy's former role in County Limerick or Limerick County Community Engagement Functional Area.

Superintendents Lacey, Reidy and Kennedy have decades of experience between them of working in the Limerick Garda Division.
