Leading law firm announces promotion for Limerick-based solicitor

Audrey Browne joined Holmes in 2017 as Associate

A LIMERICK-based law firm has announced the promotion of Audrey Browne to Senior Associate Solicitor specialising in insurance litigation. 

Ms Browne, who lives in Lough Gur, joined Holmes in 2017 as Associate, bringing with her extensive experience in all areas of civil and criminal litigation including plaintiff and defence litigation.

Prior to joining Holmes, she spent 16 years working with different legal firms in Limerick, Cork and Mayo.

Based in Holmes’ Limerick office, Audrey Browne handles defence litigation on behalf of domestic and international insurers and self-insured corporations. Her work includes the areas of employer, motor, public and product liability.

She provides pre-litigation advice on initial investigations, liability, quantum and tactics, advising insurers and self-insured companies in the defence of personal injury actions in the Circuit Court, High Court and Court of Appeal.

Ms Browne is an expert at negotiating with a view to avoiding litigation where at all possible, up to negotiation of costs on conclusion of litigation.

In addition to insurance defence work, she also represents private clients accused of road traffic offences and criminal matters before the District Court.
