A LIMERICK primary school is celebrating 150 years of education and community spirit.
Garrydoolis NS in Pallasgreen, is celebrating its 150th anniversary and, amongst other things, a historical booklet by former student Chris Ryan is being prepared in celebration.
The east Limerick school was established in 1873 and remains to be a vibrant part of the community.
Principal Heidi Jordan said: “We are very excited to be celebrating this milestone in the school, we are delighted and proud to be here 150 years on”.
On Friday and Saturday June 9-10, pupils, teachers, past and present, and the local community marked the occasion through a day of prayer and family fun.
