Former Limerick hurler and ex-boyfriend of Una Healy pops question to physio lecturer

FORMER Limerick hurler and top physiotherapist David Breen had no problem getting down on bended knee to pop the question to Emma Farquharson.

The happy couple, who have a child together, have a lot in common as Emma is also a physiotherapist who lectures in London. 

David shared a photo on his Instagram page of the husband and wife to be in glorious sunshine in Donegal.

"After much deliberation..... she said yes," wrote David, accompanied by a ring emoji.

David and Emma received many well-wishes on Instagram including from Ireland and Munster scrum half Craig Casey.

David is a physiotherapist with Munster Rugby and formerly Manchester City, Wasps and Leinster. Now he is looking after towering forwards but he was one himself with Limerick and Na Piarsaigh.

David was on the Limerick team that defeated Cork in the 2013 Munster final, a day that many felt was reminiscent of last Sunday's defeat of Clare. He has also claimed All-Ireland and county titles with his club.

David has also hit the headlines for dating musician Una Healy who has also been in the news of late.
