Man suffers serious head injury after assault on Limerick street

GARDAI in Limerick are looking for witnesses after a serious assault on a city street. 

On Saturday, May 27 at approximately 11:55pm, a man in his 20s stepped out of a pub on to Patrick's Street to have a cigarette. 

Suddenly he was assaulted which resulted in hospitalisation and a serious head injury.

Gardai in Henry Street are investigating and looking for any witnesses to this assault or motorists with dash cams who may have been in the area at that time to contact them on 061 212400.
