IT WAS "the session to end all sessions" as Ryan Tubridy completed his last Late Late Show after 14 years, but not before being joined by a special Limerick guest.

Former Limerick Person of the Year, Paudcast star, and inclusion ambassador, Pádraig O'Callaghan joined the broadcaster for his season finale.

They shared special memories of their time together on the Toy Show, which in itself promotes all elements of diversity.

Pádraig performed on the famous variety show back in 2021, where he danced to Treat People With Kindness alongside Ryan and others.

Last night, Pádraig was welcomed back to the show to bid Ryan farewell as he took part in a heartfelt rendition of The Cup Song, alongside other previous Toy Show favourites.

After the performance, Ryan spoke to the Limerick podcaster, saying, "Paudie, come come over here and say hello", before giving him a quick heartfelt hug, and offering him to sit where many legends have once sat.

"Try that seat out for size," Ryan said, as he pointed to his iconic leather chair for podcaster Pádraig to enjoy.

Excited to join the broadcaster, Paudie shared some behind the scenes on his social media. Ryan was among other stars the Knockainey boy met last night, including boxer Kellie Harrington, singing duo Jedward, and even some of his fellow Toy Show friends.

After the farewell show, Pádraig took to Twitter and said, "what an amazing night last night and honoured to be invited to celebrate with Ryan on his last Late Late Show."

The host of the Monday Motivation Paudcast added, "congrats Ryan and best wishes in the next chapter."

Another Limerick favourite who appeared on the show was Vicky Phelan's sister Lyndsey who discussed her prominent interviews with Ryan on The Late Late Show, and indeed her lasting legacy.
