Motorists advised of partial closure of Limerick Tunnel

The northbound bore of the Limerick Tunnel will be closed from 7pm

MOTORISTS are being advised that the northbound bore of the Limerick Tunnel will be closed to traffic next Monday night.

The planned closure, which will impact traffic travelling towards Shannon and Galway will be in place on Monday, May 29 from 7pm to 6am on Tuesday morning.

Diversions will be in effect, however drivers are advised that the carriageway northbound at Junction 2 (Dock Road) will also be closed for the night, with diversions in place.

Alternative routes will include, N69 (Ennis Road), R527 (Condell Road) and R445 (Ennis Road) to N18 Junction 4 (Cratloemoyle).

Motorists who intend travelling this Monday night are being advised to allow some additional time because of the diversions that will be place.

The southbound bore of the Limerick Tunnel will remain open.
