The drug seizure in Clare this Thursday
GARDAI in Clare have seized €105,000 of suspected cannabis as part of an operation targetting the sale and supply of drugs.
A man in his late 20s was arrested in the early hours of this Thursday. He is being held at a garda station in Clare.
Gardaí from the Clare Divisional Drugs Unit stopped a vehicle in the Tobarteascain area of Ennis, where the discovery of €100,000 of suspected cannabis was made
The car's occupant was arrested.
Gardaí seized over €100,000 of cannabis during the course of searches in Ennis County Clare in the early hours of this morning as part of Operation Tara.

Follow-up searches of a residence in the area yielded the seizure of a further €5,000 of suspected cannabis along with weighing scales and other drug paraphernalia.
These will now be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.
The arrested male was being held under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
Investigations are ongoing.
