LIMERICK and Cork farmers will be on opposite sides of the fence on Sunday but they came together at Dromcollogher Mart for a good cause.

Twenty seven farmers from both sides of the border donated 32 calves in aid of Dromcollogher Respite Centre.

The 32 calves were made up of top quality pollies, whiteheads and Friesian heifers and bulls. The total amount from the sales came to €5,630.

Denis Kirby, of GVM, said they were delighted to support the initiative and wished Dromcollogher Respite Centre all the best with their building project.
