The Limerick Leader's own Meghann Scully and Cathal Doherty were busy as they ran in and covered the event (see below).
The full marathon kicked off at 9am at People's Park, Pery Square followed by the half marathon at 10.30am and the six mile race at 12.30pm.
The route took in Childers Road, Rosbrien Road, Punches Close, O’Connell Avenue and Glentworth Street before finishing at Henry Street.
The Regeneron Great Limerick Run is one of the highlights of Riverfest Limerick which is taking place this Bank Holiday weekend.
