GARDAI are appealing for information following a burglary at a community centre in a Limerick village over Easter.

The alarm was raised following the bank holiday weekend when the caretaker of Oola community centre discovered that a window had been broken.

"This (burglary) happened sometime between Friday, April 7 and Tuesday, April 11. There was nothing worth stealing inside so whoever broke in left empty handed," said divisional crime prevention officer Sergeant Ber Leetch.

Gardai in Bruff are investigating the incident and they are looking for any information or witnesses regarding this break-in.

They can be contacted at (061) 382940.
