TRADITIONAL photography techniques will be put in the frame at a special exhibition this weekend in the city centre.

Between 10am and 3pm on Saturday at the People’s Museum of Limerick in Pery Square, a group of photography enthusiasts, who take images on film-based cameras, rather than on digital devices.

Co-organised by former Limerick Senior College photography lecturer Dan Kenny, Clarina, the event will also see examples of alternative photographic processes like cyanotype, a photographic printing process that produces blue prints using coated paper and light, dating back to 1842.

There's also wide range of film cameras for people to look at and experience using including large format studio cameras so people can see how Victorian portraits were taken.placeholder image

All are welcome to the exhibition.
