Nando's issues update on its plans for a store in Limerick

The South African restaurant chain is on the hunt for a manager and assistant manager

INTERNATIONAL fast-food chicken chain Nando's is ramping up preparations for its opening in Limerick.

The firm has revealed that it is currently recruiting for an assistant manager and an assistant general manager for its new location.

Nando's, which already has 12 locations in Ireland at Dublin, Cork and Kildare, will open in the Crescent Shopping Centre.

The chain, which originated in South Africa, is best known for its Portuguese flame-grilled peri-peri style chicken.

It is not yet known what date the restaurant is expected to open its doors in Limerick.

But the onset of Covid-19 and the near two-year disruption to the economy put paid to these plans.
