This two storey house at Pallas, Kilmeedy is up for public and online auction next week
GVM AUCTIONEERS have brought three very different residential holdings to the market this month and are selling a house for “a snip”.
First up is 40 acres and a large family home at Willowbrook, Mountshannon, Lisnagry - just off the Mackey Roundabout.
Tom Crosse, GVM group property director, says this is an excellent purchase now and perhaps even more so in the future.
“There is 40 acres of land and there is a fine house. The new Northern Distributor Road could be traversing it which potentially opens it up for development in time. It is a long-term play but it might come into money in time. The location is top class, close to UL, Plassey Technological Park, motorway, Annacotty and more,” said Mr Crosse, who is guiding at €1.35m.

It is very early days but he expects interest from the business community, those in search of a family home with land, a hobby farmer or an opportunistic investor with an eye to the future.
Next up is O’Grady’s Cottage, Dromoland Estate, Newmarket on Fergus.
“It is a grandiose address but it is part of the original estate. This wonderful holding comprises of a period cottage situated on 50 acres - 21 acres of limestone land with the remaining set out in mature woodlands,” said Mr Crosse, who is guiding at €695,000.
Both the properties in Lisnagry and Dromoland are for sale by private treaty. While 47 acres of good quality agricultural land and a bungalow at Portboy, Herbertstown is up for auction on Wednesday, April 12 at 3pm at GVM’s Glentworth Street auction rooms.
Mr Crosse said 30 of the acres are “the best you will walk”. He expects interest from expanding dairy farmers and the presence of the bungalow might prove attractive for someone who wants to refurbish or knock and build a new house on a fine farm. The guide is €500,000.
Last but not least is a two storey house at Pallas, Kilmeedy. Mr Crosse said the disclosed reserve of €50,000 is “a snip”.
The three bedroom home in need of refurbishment is for sale by public and online auction on Friday, March 31 at noon.
Interested parties are asked to contact GVM.
