A SPECIAL, free celebration dedicated to women is landing in Limerick this March, to mark International Women’s Day, 2023.

Organisation Women’s Collective Ireland - Limerick (previously known as Limerick Women’s Network) is hosting a special party, free of entry, for the women of Limerick to attend and celebrate a day for themselves and their fellow females through song, dance and laughter.

Taking place in the Savoy Hotel in Limerick city, the event will include light refreshments and performances by local talented musical singer, JaYne and Limerick DJ, Olivia Chau to get everyone on their feet.

Coordinator of the Limerick branch, Yvie Murphy, said: “We are very excited about International Women’s Day this year - we got the sense from the women we are working with that they wanted something light and fun to look forward to so we hope to deliver just that.

“We are delighted to have two really talented local women providing entertainment to us for the evening and that we can create a nice space for women to get together and talk, laugh, sing and dance.

“This event is proving to be a popular one so we are asking that any woman who wants to attend please reach out and let us know, as places are limited.”

The unique party event is happening on Tuesday, March 7, from 6pm and is supported by  local employment services, People Action against Unemployment Ltd, (PAUL) Partnership.
