Busy Limerick road to close temporarily

LIMERICK motorists are being advised of a six-hour road closure due to construction works in the city centre later this week.

Traffic will be suspended on Bishops Quay from its junction with Shannon Bridge roundabout to its junction with Mill Lane, from 2pm to 8pm this Tuesday, January 31.

Local diversions will be in place for traffic via Lower Mallow Street and Henry Street.

Limerick City and County Council has stated that the road will close to facilitate set up of a Crane to enable the installation and removal of Air Conditioning Units on the Riverpoint Building.

According to the local authority, diversions will be clearly signposted and local traffic will be accommodated if possible.
