Limerick musician to perform on Friday’s Late Late show
THE STARS will be aligning this Friday night, as Limerick musician Emma Langford will be performing a duet with country music popstar Derek Ryan on the Late Late Show.
The song the two will be duetting is Derek’s new love song, Everywhere With You, which Emma will be featuring on on this occasion, in place of the song's co-writer and singer Eleanor McEvoy.
Emma said: “I can’t wait to perform on Friday! It’s not my first time performing on the Late Late, but it feels like the first time every time - I always get so excited for live tv and it's a nice opportunity to be making an appearance again,”
“The song is by Derek Ryan and Eleanor McEvoy, who I admire so much. Getting the chance to sing a song that she has co-written is amazing, and singing it live on the telly will be great craic!” she added.
Not alone has Emma never sang with Derek, but she only recently met him in person for the first time: “We went and filmed a few bits to promote the new single in Doonbeg [Clare],”
“That’s the only time I’ve ever met him in person” she said.
Other guests include that of Colm Bairéad, writer and director of the Oscar nominated film An Cailín Ciún, as well as the film’s producer Cleona Ní Chrualaoi.
In addition, actors such as Peaky Blinder's Daryl McCormack and Harry Potter’s Miriam Margolyes will join host Ryan Tubridy as well as comedian Conor Moore.
Seanad member Senator Lynn Ruane and Irish Defence Force member Karina Molloy will also take to the famous couch this Friday.
