Irish Red Cross Limerick branch starting public first aid course

THE IRISH Red Cross are encouraging people to learn lifesaving skills at their first-aid course starting in January.

The First Aid Response Course will start on Thursday, January 26 at the Limerick base on the Dock Road.

On the PHECC accredited course, the public can learn life-saving skills, how to treat wounds and fractures, how to manage medical conditions while awaiting an ambulance and much more.

The 10 week course will be delivered in person starting with an information and registration night.

The open night will be held at Unit 3, Ashbourne Business Park, Dock Road, Limerick City (V94 XE81) at 7:30pm.

A spokesperson for the Limerick branch said: "First aid is a very important skill to have regardless of your background. This is also a great opportunity to see what our organisation is all about, talk to our members and consider joining us as a new Volunteer — we would love to have you!"

You must pre-book a place at the information/open night by calling 087 8400 400.
