Status yellow ice warning issued for Limerick

A STATUS YELLOW ice warning has been issued for Limerick with hazardous travelling conditions forecast. 

Wintry showers will continue on Wednesday with freezing rain and fog patches expected in the southwest. 

Met Eireann forecasters have predicted some more freezing conditions throughout the country. 

The weather warning is valid from 7pm on Wednesday and is in place until 12pm on Thursday. 

Gardai and the RSA are advising motorists and road users to exercise caution during the morning.
