THE Limerick Leader / Limerick Live has welcomed two new journalists to its reporting team.
Sports reporter John Keogh is a native of Limerick city and graduated with a BA in Journalism from the University of Limerick in 2017.
He has been a freelance sports journalist and commentator for a number of years.
John is delighted to be joining the Limerick Leader / Limerick Live team after honing his craft with the Leader during a six-month work placement in 2015.
“This is a sort of homecoming for me having spent six great months with the Leader a few years ago and I’m looking forward to reporting from the sports desk in the coming months and years," said John.
Multimedia Journalist Faye Dorgan, from Mungret, is a recent graduate of the University of Limerick where she studied Journalism and New Media.
“I always had a strong interest in writing, journalism and media. I loved English and history in school and, alongside my main journalism title, I graduated with a major in English and literature,“ said Faye.
The daughter of Jackie and Richard, Faye describes herself as “quite a perfectionist when it comes to my work”.
“In my free time, I generally like to read or I am consuming some sort of entertainment. I am always researching a book’s ending or origins before finishing it.”
Faye also has a keen interest in fashion and has done social media work for Limerick model agent Celia Holman Lee.
“I look forward to beginning my career in the Limerick Leader / Limerick Live as the proud Limerick native that I am,“ she said.
Both John and Faye started their new roles this Tuesday.
