FORMER Miss World Rosanna Davison says she is looking forward to making a return visit to Limerick next week to impart advise to women of all ages at the ‘Style in the City’ extravaganza.
The glamorous model, television presenter and beauty editor is to travel to Limerick on Sunday, April 29 for one of the most anticipated events on the local social calendar – ‘Style in the City’.
“I have been to Limerick a couple of times. I’m looking forward to a return visit,” Rosanna told the Limerick Leader this week.
The blonde beauty shot to international fame in 2003 when she was crowned Miss World before a global audience of several million. Since then she has topped a range of best-dressed lists and featured on a host of fashion and style magazines.
‘Style in the City’ she said was a “wonderful” idea to inspire ladies in terms of their wardrobe or beauty routine.
“Style events are always fun and great events to go to. It’s a nice day out to bring your mum to or your sister,” she said.
Rosanna will be joined at the South Court Hotel by her friend, Limerick’s style icon, Celia Holman Lee. “Celia is fantastic. She is a big inspiration to me and to plenty of women all over the country. To come along to see her and get tips from her would be a great draw for a lot of people,” she added.
And has she any style or fashion advise to impart to the ladies of Limerick before her visit?
“Definitely I would say to dress for your shape – anybody’s shape can be complemented by dressing in what’s appropriate for you. Obviously, dress for the weather and incorporate colour. Irish women, myself included, can be guilty of wearing too much black so definitely for spring time I am all for embracing colour,” she said.
‘Style in the City’ which is being spearheaded by the Limerick Leader in conjunction with the Holman Lee Modelling Agency and Bella the Makeover Studio begins at 11am and runs until 6pm and admission is €10. Tickets can be purchased at the Limerick Leader office, 54 O’Connell St, Limerick.
