A blood donation clinic will take place in Limerick city next week
AS a result of a shortfall in blood donations following the Bank Holiday weekend, the public is being encouraged to attend an upcoming blood clinic in Limerick city.
Irish hospitals need to increase blood stocks and the need for blood will continue unabated over the summer.
The blood clinic will take place in the Abundant Life Church on Henry Street (opposite Garda Station) on Thursday, August 14 from 3.50pm to 7.10pm.
New and returning donors welcome at all clinics. Please phone 1800222111 for appointment.

The demand for blood continues to rise month on month across the country and 3,000 blood donations are needed each week just to keep pace.
Every single donation makes a profound difference. Blood is a lifeline for thousands of patients every year – from those undergoing complex surgeries, individuals battling cancer and leukaemia requiring chemotherapy, to mothers experiencing complications during childbirth, and victims of serious accidents.
