End-Of-Life Care Coordinator in UHL, Rebecca Lloyd, said: “Our annual service is profoundly significant for hospital staff and we encourage anyone who has had a loved one die in UHL since August 2023 to unite with us as a community in shared grief.”

For those unable to attend in person, the service will be live-streamed on the Mungret-Crecora-Raheen parish website here.

For anyone who has been bereaved, the HSE also runs a bereavement support line in partnership with the Irish Hospice Foundation. This national freephone service, which provides bereaved people with connection, comfort and support, is available at 1800-807077 from 10am to 1pm, Monday to Friday.
