Ladies: Ballykisteen Ladies Team emerged victorious from an exciting Match between three local Golf clubs, on Monday, April 17. The day began at Ballykisteen Ladies with a game, where the home team played teams from both Dundrum GC and Tipperary GC. After the drive to Dundrum Golf Club, it all began again with another game, and finally after the trip to Tipperary the three club teams reformed, and played another 9 holes.
The day concluded with Dinner at Tipperary Golf Club where the Ladies of Ballykisteen Golf Club emerged victorious and were presented with the Inaugural Triangular Shield by sponsor Ann Mooney. MJ Buckley and Michael Coleman of The Junction Gastrobar and Bistro were on hand to present prizes, having sponsored the ladies of Ballykisteen’s day.

CO TIPPERARY
Mixed Team Success: Congratulations to our Mixed Team who defeated Templemore on the 19th hole 3/2 in a very tight contest. County Tipperary team was; Andrew Burke & Margaret O’Riordan, Ollie Carr & Liz Higgins, Kevin Fitzgerald & Frances Boyle, Brian Slattery & Marie O’Neill, Mark Talbot & Sheena Ryan. Subs were Declan O’Dwyer & Caroline O’Dwyer.
Mens Golf: Our competition last weekend was the Club Matchplay Singles Qualifier.
The leading scores were Damian Fogarty with 42 pts, Kevin Fitzgerald with 42pts & Brian Slattery. The top 31 players qualified plus last year’s winner Seamus O’Dwyer.
Result of 9-hole competition: in 1st place Robert O’Brian (10) with 22pts, 2nd Aiden Murphy (2) 20pts, Gross Pat Ryan (2) 18pts, 3rd Seamus Reade (6) 20pts. The qualifier for the 9-hole final is Robert O’Brian.
The Purcell Team: We wish the Purcell team the very best in Mitchelstown against Mitchelstown.
Fred Daly Team: We wish the Fred Daly Team the very best of luck in Dundrum next Sunday at 2:30 against West Waterford under the management of Oisin Slattery & Pat Ryan.
Ladies Golf: Monday April 17th eight Lady Members represented County Tipperary in a triangular competition over 27 holes against Ballykisteen & Tipperary golf clubs.
Seniors Golf: The result of last week’s 15-hole Champagne Scramble with two scores to count.
In first place was John Grogan, John Moloney & Pat Ryan (Golden) with 80pts. In 2nd place Gerry Maher, Davy Fitzgerald & John O’Donovan with 73pts, in 3rd place P J Maher, Charlie Gaffney & Sean Crosse with 70pts.
