Limerick camogie girls reach All Ireland final

Two goals from Dymphna O’Brien helped Limerick to a 2-10 to 0-8 win over Meath in the All Ireland intermediate camogie semi-final on Saturday.

Two goals from Dymphna O’Brien helped Limerick to a 2-10 to 0-8 win over Meath in the All Ireland intermediate camogie semi-final on Saturday.

Limerick, who won the Division 2 league title earlier this year, were made to work extremely hard by last year’s premier junior champions Meath before coming out on top by eight points.

They led by 0-8 to 0-2 at the break but Meath came back well before O’Brien’s double strike proved crucial.

Niamh Mulcahy, Mary O’Callaghan and Caoimhe Costello helped them keep their noses in front.

Limerick now play Galway in the All Ireland final on Sunday, September 15, in Croke Park.
