Limerick derby in Harty Cup quarter-final

Limerick schools Ardscoil Ris and Doon CBS have been drawn to play each other in the quarter-finals of this season’s Dr Harty Cup.

Limerick schools Ardscoil Ris and Doon CBS have been drawn to play each other in the quarter-finals of this season’s Dr Harty Cup.

The draw was made last week where there were three Limerick teams in the pot. Castletroy College, who have made the knockout stages for the second year running, will play Thurles CBS. Both games will be on Wednesday, January 16, at 1.30pm. The Ardscoil Ris/Doon CBS game has been fixed for Bruff while Castletroy College must travel to Tipperary Town.

The other quarter-finals see Our Lady’s Templemore play Midleton CBS and Waterford Colleges play Blackwater CS. The semi-final draws have also been made. The winners of Ardscoil Ris/Doon CBS will play the winners of Midleton and Templemore while Castletroy or Thurles will meet Waterford Colleges or Blackwater.

The quarter-final draw for the Corn ui Mhuiri was also made and it sees West Limerick Colleges play Colaiste Chriost Ri of Cork. The other quarter-final games are: St Brendan’s, Killarney v St Flannan’s, Ennis; DLS Macroom v St Fachtna’s, Skibbereen; PS Chorca Dhuibhne v Rochestown College, Cork.
