Limerick IFC - Pallasgreen reach intermediate football final

PALLASGREEN booked their place in the Limerick IFC final thanks to a 1-13 to 1-6 win over Na Piarsaigh in Caherelly last Saturday.

PALLASGREEN booked their place in the Limerick IFC final thanks to a 1-13 to 1-6 win over Na Piarsaigh in Caherelly last Saturday.

The east Limerick side were only relegated from the senior ranks last season but they have responded well and are now just 60 minutes away from an immediate return.

A goal from dual star Alan Dempsey helped Na Piarsaigh to a 1-4 to 0-4 lead at the break. But Pallasgreen had wind advantage in the second half and points from Robert O’Donnell and Chris McMahon along with a goal from midfielder Jonathan Deere secured their final place.

St Mary’s-Sean Finns and Claughaun are in the other semi-final and their replay takes place on the weekend of October 6/7 with the final down for decision a week later.
